Through sharing her experience of sexual abuse, Vanessa wants readers to understand that they too can overcome what the enemy planned for evil. She also desires for those who have family members, friends or partners who have been abused to recognise that this is nothing to be taken lightly; and for the abusers to realise that their actions have real life changing consequences. Vanessa Richards has grown to be everything but what any statistic would expect her to be due to her life experience. She has gone to walk into her destiny through starting her own charity organisation, Virtuous Voices, which specialises in counselling young women and speaking at conferences, schools, colleges and conducting workshops. Not only has Vanessa started her own organisation, but she continues to strive with her educational accomplishments as a qualified integrative counsellor, psychotherapist, family and systemic therapist, radiographer, accountant, and pharmacy technician; her opportunities are endless. Currently, Vanessa works as a qualified psychotherapist in London privately and in the public sector and operates her organisation, Virtuous Voices. Vanessa continues to exercise her faith in Christ Jesus and to live a life that is pleasing to Him, by letting her light shine bright everywhere she goes and living a life where people can see Him through her. Vanessa understands that she would be nothing without God and she will always need to depend on Him for everything.
